OUR STORIES
Joelle Navarra
I was born, raised and live in Rochester, NY. I have been working in the dialysis field for over 25 years. For the past 16 years, I have been a Clinical Educator for Fresenius Kidney Care. Training and education have always been a passion of mine. Watching new employees grow into their roles gives me a great sense of accomplishment knowing I facilitated their development through my knowledge. I am also a mentor for two distinguished mentorship programs: for FKC employees pursing their advanced degrees and the Meliora Collective Mentorship Program through my alma mater, the University of Rochester.
Some of my hobbies/self-care interests include, watching football (Bills and FSU fan!!!), watching documentaries and nail art. I have an amazing fiancé and wonderful 16-year-old stepdaughter.
Krystal Powell
My nursing career over the last 20 years has included critical care, inpatient dialysis, and education. My current role is Director of Education for Inpatient Services, covering many modalities in nephrology including HD, PD, CKRT, and Apheresis.
I was born and raised in Nebraska, and now I live in upstate New York. I'm married, and I have 2 teenagers, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a flock of chickens. My hobbies include painting and photography.
Dakota Anderson

Outside of nursing, I am a certified Sexual Assault Crisis Advocate, and a competitive powerlifter. I enjoy traveling and hiking.
